Design has been at the heart of my working life from the beginning. At Falmouth School of Art in the 1980s, I was introduced to typography — not only as a foundation of clear communication, but also as something intrinsically pleasing in its form and rhythm. Learning how type and image work together taught me the essential art of getting a message across, a principle that remains at the centre of effective marketing today.
Over time, my focus expanded. In the last ten years I’ve worked increasingly in digital solutions, helping clients develop their online brands, while also pivoting towards photography and film. What began as an extension of my design practice has grown into a central part of my work: creating stills and video for people, products and interiors. My background in design continues to shape how I see — bringing a strong sense of composition, colour and storytelling to every shoot.
I then worked in London with numerous outstanding art directors, designers, writers, illustrators and photographers for world-class companies and organisations, including British Airways, Motorola, and GE Capital. This experience helped me hone my skills to deliver high-quality, exciting commercial results.
I moved back to the South West 30 years ago to set up a design studio. My clients range from small to medium-size businesses whom I help in various ways. This has included developing and implementing complete corporate identities, advertising planning, creative campaigns and the full range of design for print — brochures, leaflets, posters and stationery.
Working directly with me means your project gets my full attention from start to finish. I’m involved at every stage — from helping to devise creative strategies and plan campaigns, to developing scripts for video and delivering the final photography, film or design. This one-to-one approach keeps the process clear, focused and tailored entirely to you.
