A Creative Journey Through Himachal Pradesh

One of my recent assignments took me to the breathtaking Himachal Pradesh region of India, where I had the privilege of creating content for the Basunti Yoga Retreat. Nestled on the edge of a pristine lake surrounded by lush greenery, Basunti offers a serene escape for yoga enthusiasts. My role was to capture the essence of this magical retreat through photography and video for a new website I’m building for them.

David, who founded Basunti, took me to the lake to witness this quiet moment as a fisherman returned to shore, his boat gliding across the still water. A simple scene, yet full of rhythm and atmosphere, reflecting the timeless connection between people and the water.

Basunti and the Punjab

During the visit to India, I had the chance to photograph both the quiet beauty of Basunti Retreat and everyday life in the Punjab. At Basunti, I captured the atmosphere of a lakeside retreat set within stunning natural surroundings. In the Punjab, I spent an afternoon in a small farming village, guided by someone who grew up there and whose parents still call it home. As the day drew to a close, the golden light settled over the fields and narrow lanes, creating the perfect backdrop to photograph everyday life. From farmers at work to quiet moments in the village, it was a glimpse into a way of life that felt both timeless and deeply rooted in the land.
