Weingut Bründlmayer is one of Austria's leading wine estates, based in Langenlois in the Kamptal wine region, and is renowned for its Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, and sparkling wines.

Having admired Bründlmayer's wines for some time, I travelled to Austria in August 2026 to photograph and film at the estate. My visit coincided with the start of the harvest, giving me the chance to document the pace of work in the vineyards and winery, alongside the quieter atmosphere of the cellars.

I also had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Willi Bründlmayer, a pioneering figure in Austrian winemaking who has transformed the family estate and helped establish Austrian wines on the international stage

The vineyards of Kamptal.

Bringing in the harvest.

With the grapes ripe and ready, it's all hands on deck at Weingut Bründlmayer. This short reel captures the pace of the harvest as grapes arrive from the vineyards and are quickly moved through the winery for processing.

Inside the sparkling wine cellars.

A quieter moment in the Bründlmayer cellars, where bottles of sparkling wine are carefully turned during the traditional riddling process, gradually moving the yeast sediment towards the neck of each bottle.
